Dr. Tino Hutschenreuther will answer your questions on our research in Smart distributed measurement and test systems and the related core topics Analysis of distributed IoT systems, Embedded AI and Real-time data processing and communications, on the lead applications Adaptive edge AI systems for industrial application and IoT systems for cooperative environmental monitoring as well as on the range of services for the development of embedded systems.
Our system design team is internationally positioned and consists of specialists for:
- PCB circuit design
- PCB layout
- Microcontroller development (C)
- Embedded applications/middleware software (C/C++)
- real-time Linux and TSN
- wireless sensor networks
- communications systems
- distributed energy-efficient hardware/software systems
- optimisation of AI algorithms for small embedded systems
Most of our research staff have academic degrees in electrical engineering, computer science and related fields.
Each year, we design several customised embedded systems in various application fields in research projects or directly for our customers.
We supervise up to 10 students per year in internships, bachelor and master theses at our location in Ilmenau. In addition, we provide staff for the SME Digital Team at IMMS.
Heinz-Wolfgang Lahmann, GFE – Gesellschaft für Fertigungstechnik und Entwicklung Schmalkalden e.V.
”In our collaboration with IMMS, we particularly appreciate the expertise in the field of sensor data acquisition and processing, the high application orientation of the solutions and the constructive contacts with its employees – not least when working together on site on machines and equipment.”
Peter Otto, Postberg
“We are very satisfied with the result – the many years of IMMS experience in the design of embedded systems, with industrial projects and also the system understanding of IMMS from the previous product developments with SONOTEC have clearly contributed to the success.”
Dr. Alexander Maier, Fraunhofer IOSB-INA
“We very much appreciate not only the sound, practical engineering knowledge of the IMMS staff concerning Industry 4.0-compatible protocols and systems but also the personal contact and the constructive manner of IMMS’ collaboration. And so we shall be delighted if we can tackle upcoming subjects together.”
Friedrich Becker, TURCK Electronics GmbH
“With its experience in the spheres of signal processing and integrating communications and systems for industry, IMMS contributed significantly to the execution of the science which the partners in Chemnitz and Offenburg derived from theoretical principles in cable diagnostics and communications interfaces.”
