Internships, jobs, BSc/MSc subjects
During your studies, you can contribute to our ongoing research projects. Join us in pushing the limits of what is technically feasible and be part of breaking new ground together.
We offer a variety of challenging and practice-oriented topics for mandatory internships, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses or for student research assistants. You will analyse important scientific preliminary questions and support the project teams with development activities.
Your benefits with us
- Get practical training and use it as study credit.
- Receive best and individual support.
- Get theoretic in-depth knowledge of methods for the practical implementation of you solution.
- Work on challenging research subjects.
- Use our extensive technical equipment that meets industrial standards.
Depending on your specialist expertise and the content of the project, it is possible to combine scientific work at IMMS on a flexible part-time basis with a Master’s qualification after completing your Bachelor’s degree. This parallel training on the job in a dynamic environment networked with industry is ideal for a career start in application-oriented research and paves the way for a career at IMMS, for a PhD or entry into industry.
- Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
- Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Related fields like Physics, Mathematics or Biomedical Engineering
The time periods of two to six months for completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis are usually much too short to work on complex tasks like developing a microelectronic circuit from schematic design through to production and measurement.
Get involved early in your degree course as student research assistant or for your mandatory internship and learn the practical skills you will need for engineering problems in microelectronics, electronic system design and mechatronics and for your BSc and MSc you can work on at IMMS as well. This will give you a comprehensive and realistic insight into the content and processes of engineering work.
You will be able to call on our whole infrastructure in your work. We have a internationally competitive infrastructure, fully meeting industrial norms, supporting the design of and experimentation on electronic and mechatronic systems, and underpinning our and your research work and the preliminary qualification processes.
Here you can find our current list of topics
You can filter them according to your interests and flexibly integrate their start and duration into different periods of study. Many of them can be arranged as mandatory internships, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses or as student assistant jobs.
