IMMS can do much more than ‘just’ chip development – especially in the field of photonics and sensor technology. What we particularly liked: The IMMS team quickly and flexibly integrated itself into our network of DITABIS developers and external partners – with lots of ideas and a genuine team spirit.

“At DITABIS, we see ourselves as partners on equal footing – for our customers, we are the OEM contact for medical technology, diagnostics and life sciences. Our teams bring together expertise in mechanics, electronics, software and regulatory affairs – all under one roof. From the initial feasibility check to series production in accordance with ISO 13485, we support our customers as a true co-developer: agile, collaborative and with decades of experience.

I got to know IMMS as part of our joint BMBF project ‘FluoResYst’. While IMMS is developing the chip for direct DNA spotting with subsequent fluorescence detection, we at DITABIS are responsible for system integration into a complete device. Working with Benjamin Saft and Eric Schäfer, it quickly became clear that IMMS can do much more than ‘just’ chip development – especially in the field of photonics and sensor technology. This is evident both in the diverse range of employees and in the well-equipped laboratory and measurement technology.

With this impression in mind, it was an easy decision to bring IMMS on board to develop an optical assembly for one of our high-volume series devices. The result: 15 prototypes in which hardware, firmware, optics and mechanics work together perfectly – and which have even exceeded our high expectations.

What we particularly liked: The IMMS team quickly and flexibly integrated itself into our network of DITABIS developers and external partners – with lots of ideas and a genuine team spirit.

After this thoroughly positive experience, we would work with IMMS again anytime – even though we are over 300 kilometres apart.“
