Networks
Wherever possible, we draw in regionally available technology into our research and thus contribute to the networking of companies so that small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, can fully exploit their innovation potential. In addition, we initiate and help shape regional and supraregional as well as cross-sectoral clusters and networks. We are particularly involved in application-oriented working groups and scientific committees. Our regular workshops promote the transfer of know-how to network partners and industry.

Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology
AMA (Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology) links innovators from research, development, production, and distribution with the representatives of the various user industries. Thus, AMA provides science and industry with a competent network and a broad platform for developing innovative joint solutions. We are involved in the AMA Scientific Council, Microsystems Technology and Optical Sensor Technology Committee.

Cadence Academic Network
The Cadence Academic Network was founded by Cadence Europe, a leading provider of electronic systems design software. The aim of the network is to spread and foster cutting-edge technologies and methodologies at engineering universities. As a lead institution for analogue mixed-signal design methods, we contribute our latest research results on AI-based design and test automation to the network, e.g. in the regular BarCamps on EDA, which we co-initiated.

CCIT – Cross-Cluster Initiative Thüringen
The Cross-Cluster Initiative Thüringen is an association of active networks from different sectors. Among other things, the cluster relies on a regular exchange of experience between the networks to transfer research results more quickly into applications, products and services. We are involved there as ”Smart Sensor Systems Model Factory“ in the “SME Digital Centre Ilmenau”.

As a member of CiS e.V., IMMS promotes science, research and innovation in the fields of sensors, actuators and microsystems technology and their applications through research projects, events to share scientific findings and educational projects.

CleanAir Innovation Network
To improve air quality, the interdisciplinary CleanAir innovation network bundles competences from the areas of identification, analysis and reduction of particulate matter. We contribute our research results on energy-efficient IoT systems for cooperative environmental monitoring to the network, as well as our experience with the construction and operation of sensor platforms.

Competence Center Nanopositioning and Nanomeasuring machines
The network has the task of bundling the competencies, structures and networks developed in the Collaborative Research Center SFB 622 “Nanopositioning and Nanomeasuring Machines”, coordinating new activities and initiating and supporting cooperation with national and international partners. The aim is to further develop nanopositioning and nanomeasurement technology by actively continuing basic research, applied research and the implementation of research results in new applications, products and services.

We are a member of the “Medical Biotechnology” section in the “Biotechnology” specialist group of DECHEMA, the network for chemical engineering and biotechnology in Germany. The aim is to turn results from academic research into products and processes as quickly as possible, and to promote innovation, cooperation and the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between biologists, chemists and engineers.

The German Research Association for Automation and Microelectronics e.V. (DFAM) is a platform for a cooperation network between users from different industries, suppliers of assemblies and R&D service providers. With this network, DFAM carries out research projects of industrial joint research. The industrial microelectronics users take a key position in DFAM and work together on concrete research projects here.

DiagnostikNet|BB
The DiagnostikNet | BB (Diagnostics Network Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) bundles the expertise of diagnostics and equipment manufacturers, suppliers and users from clinics, medical laboratories as well as research institutions from all areas of in-vitro diagnostics. In this network, we pursue the goal of developing sensor systems for in-vitro diagnostics together with partners that enable individual, decentralised health monitoring for everyone with electronic rapid tests.
