“Throughout the entire duration of the project, I have always perceived IMMS as a competent, innovative and solution-orientated partner that dealt very flexibly and pragmatically with the multiple challenges of using modern measurement technology in a topographically and climatically demanding environment.”
IMMS can do much more than ‘just’ chip development – especially in the field of photonics and sensor technology. What we particularly liked: The IMMS team quickly and flexibly integrated itself into our network of DITABIS developers and external partners – with lots of ideas and a genuine team spirit.
“The self-image at the institute of thinking our way into our systems and proactively delivering solutions has helped us a lot. We are very satisfied with the results, as well as with the targeted, constructive and collegial way of working.“
“We very much appreciate not only the sound, practical engineering knowledge of the IMMS staff concerning Industry 4.0-compatible protocols and systems but also the personal contact and the constructive manner of IMMS’ collaboration. And so we shall be delighted if we can tackle upcoming subjects together.”
Doctorates: There are various routes to a doctorate at IMMS. There is currently comprehensive and professional academic and specialist supervision and funding with a full focus on the doctoral project in a graduate programme and in an internal research group.

“From our point of view, the design IMMS came up with for the architecture was in itself convincing. Further, we were impressed by its support in integrating our application with the MQTT standard. Both during the ongoing joint field test in Jena and during the entire project period, IMMS staff were always readily available with prompt support if questions or problems arose.”
