Do you want to join us in pushing mechatronic drive systems to the technically feasible limit? Do you like to work on real-world problems that help make the world a better place? Would you like to be a member of a team like a family group in which all level with each other?
Join our mechatronics team in Ilmenau as soon as possible as a
Developer for the design of and research on high-precision mechatronics (d/f/m)
(Reference number IMMS_0123MT)
What to do:
- Develop and investigate mechatronic solutions for drive systems with nanometre precision and miniaturised products such as semiconductors and biotech products with us.
- Your technical experience helps you to develop concepts for complex mechatronic drive systems with the sub-aspects of mechanics and control hardware and software.
- You design drafts for these systems in a 3D CAD system, derive production documents and supervise production.
- You set up mechatronic drive systems, put them into operation and test them.
- In the future, you will supervise customer projects and contribute your ideas to project proposals for publicly funded collaborative research.
What to bring with you:
- Engineering university degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or related fields
- alternatively, technical vocational education with qualification as a state-certified technician with several years of design experience
- experience in methodical design approaches for the development of complex technical systems
- practical experience in development and design as well as experience with 3D CAD systems, ideally AutoDesk Inventor
- self-reliance, self-driven, structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as high quality awareness
- communication skills, ability to work in a team and organisational skills
- clear linguistic style in speech and writing as well as good German and English language skills
Good to have:
- practical experience in the planning, organisation and execution of scientific research and development projects
- practical experience in modelling and simulating mechanical drive systems, especially the static, dynamic and thermal behaviour of the components and the overall system, ideally with ANSYS.
- practical experience in the construction, step-by-step commissioning and testing of mechatronic systems
What we can offer you:
- an attractive workplace in a modern, very well-equipped and industry-oriented research institute with further training opportunities
- work in a flexible and creative team
- remuneration based on the framework conditions of the public service of the federal states
- full-time or part-time work, initially limited to 2 years with an option of permanent employment
And this is us:
We strengthen enterprises with application-oriented research and development in microelectronics, systems engineering and mechatronics and transfer the results of basic research into applications and products. We support companies in launching internationally successful innovations for health, the environment and industry and provide solutions from the feasibility study to series production.
For the tasks described in the job offer and with the existing working conditions, an application is possible irrespective of gender and/or any physical disabilities. We foster professional equality of women and men. We invite women in particular to apply. As women are underrepresented at IMMS, they will be given priority in the case of equal suitability, ability and professional performance.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
