Microelectronics
IMMS concentrates its research in microelectronics on:
- Design methods for integrated analogue and mixed-signal circuits with the emphases
- symbolic analysis (modelling, error analysis, optimisation)
- design of analogue circuits (design centring, yield optimisation, ruggedness)
- simulation and verification (analogue, mixed-signal and sensor systems)
- technology independent modelling by taking the technological and operating parameter tolerances into consideration
- Design of customer-specific circuits (ASICs)
- forming the basis CMOS, BiCMOS- and SOI-technologies (for example of X-FAB)
- optoelectronic amplifiers, especially DVD-modules for blue light
- HF-circuits and systems in package
- High-temperature circuits
- sensor amplifiers and ADCs
- provision of IP-modules
- Extension of the application limits of technologies
- characterisation of known circuit technologies
- efficient new circuit topologies
- improvement of design kits
- self-calibrating circuits
- research work for precise consideration of parasitic influences, ESD-protection circuits
Our research work is oriented to industrial requirements and quick applicability. In cooperation with microelectronic foundries and product houses we carry out research and development work from system and architectural design to layout and experimental testing.
