Industrial Electronics and Measurement Technology
In the areas of electric measuring technology and test methodology, the department Industrial Electronics and Measuring Technology (IEM) is a partner for the microelectronics industry and for industrial electronics for small and medium sized companies. Here, the spectrum reaches from investigations of individual transistors on wafer-level, cells or customer-specific circuits, circuit design, design and structure of evaluation and application boards to prototype solutions.
At current projects work ranges from investigations in the laboratories at evaluation and design optimization to specialized solutions for serial measurement in the test floors of the industrial partners. The department uses modern measuring technology laboratories in Ilmenau and Erfurt that are equipped according to the latest technical standard.
The staff members of the research centre combine sound theoretical knowledge, modern simulation and design tools, an excellent measuring device pool and a long experience in handling varied research and industrial projects.
